Kicking back in a hammock in 2023 — no rush, no noise — just letting my body and mind catch up after weeks of hard training. People see the gym sessions and the stage photos, but progress doesn’t come only from what you do under the weights. It also comes from what you recover from.
Days like this are part of the plan: lowering stress, letting the nervous system settle, giving the joints a break, and allowing the work you’ve already done to actually turn into growth. Recovery isn’t “doing nothing.” It’s when the body rebuilds, the mind resets, and the next phase of training becomes possible.
So yes — today’s Friday Flex is a reminder that rest is just as crucial as the work. Sometimes the most productive thing you can do is step away, breathe, and come back sharper.
